As founder of EcoJet Safari, Nick’s passion for everything water along with his boating and life saving background means that you will get his personal touch (not bodily!) when you visit our tours. Although he sounds like a ‘Pommie’ Nick was actually born in Adelaide and spent his youth in Sydney with one of his favourite pastimes being yacht racing. He also spent 12 years in the Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade, which probably accounts for his love of water now! Nick is also the Vice President of the Whitsunday Voluntary Marine Rescue and is a qualified Coxswain.
Teri is an avid nature lover and conservationalist and has an enthusiasm to educate people to help preserve our Great Barrier Reefs World Heritage Site. With her background in Management Development she will make any tour or Corporate Training Day fun and motivational! Teri’s love for the water comes from her star sign ‘The Crab’ where she feels most ‘at home’ – she also does a really good dolphin impression if you ask her nicely!
We are excited to promote our Number One skipper ShaneO as a key player to our team. Shane was born to be on the water having grown up in foster volunteering at the local Volunteer Marine Rescue, spending countless hours on the water putting his first aid and rescue training to the test on many occasions.
Now holding master 5 and living in Airlie Beach he has an excellent knowledge of the local area, having worked with Pro Sail and Cruise Whitsundays. Shane has demonstrated invaluable capabilities on jet skis, delivering fun packed adventures on the open water.
He is a great asset to the Eco Jet Safari Team.
One of our casual crew in more ways than one, Ian has spent the last 15 years in the Whitsundays and is passionate about boating and the natural environment. Trained and experienced in eco-tourism, Ian tries to bring a little bit of the Whitsunday lifestyle to every tour. Laidback trips, in a stress free environment with an emphasis on sharing knowledge relating to the different eco systems we visit. With a background from a previous life as a dive instructor and a keen interest in the history of the area, there aren't many questions that can’t be answered. Even if a few of the answers are more based on fiction than fact!
